Bar Racks are used as the first line of defense in a water intake system. Typically the racks are lowered into the well using guides installed on the sides of the concrete structure. Depending on the size of the rack they can be supplied in one piece or in multiple segments. These guides also facilitate the removal of the racks for periodic paintig and servicing.
Continuous chain Mechanical Rated Bar Screens are utilized for coarse and fine screening applications in sewage treatment and cooling water intakes for power generation, refinery and municipal water intakes.
Stop Gates are designed to withstand the full differential pressure of your specific installation. Installed to enable channel isolation and aid maintenance of the intake, all stop gates and stop logs are designed specifically for each installation.
Trash Rakes are heavy duty raking devices used to remove extremely heavy debris and are usually found upstream of the Traveling Water Screen. Sometimes also referred to as Fine Screens, these rakes are suitable for dealing with large quantities of leaves, sea grass, jellyfish and logs. Two types of Trash Takes are available from Screening Systems International including the MOTH™ system.
